Cummins – Venture Center CSR Collaboration 2026
Offered By - Cummins India Foundation
About the Program
The Cummins – Venture Center CSR Collaboration 2026 is an India-focused grant support program designed for startups, entrepreneurs, and technology innovators working in clean energy, environmental technologies, and sustainability-driven innovation domains. The initiative is jointly supported by Venture Center and the Cummins India Foundation as part of their ongoing CSR collaboration to promote technologies with measurable social and environmental impact.
Now in its sixth year, the program focuses on supporting startups conducting pilot trials, field testing, and technology implementation projects in areas such as renewable energy, energy efficiency, waste management, drinking water, biomass utilization, and environmental clean technologies. The initiative specifically targets startups that are beyond the pure research stage and are ready for technology implementation, commercialization, or field validation.
Selected startups can receive grant funding of up to ₹20 lakhs to support activities related to product validation, prototype deployment, testing, commercialization readiness, and scaling of clean-tech innovations. The grant is structured to help startups accelerate implementation-focused projects over a duration of 6 to 12 months.
The program evaluates startups on factors such as technological soundness, innovation, business model strength, scalability, commercial potential, and expected social impact. Applicants are also assessed based on execution capability, customer value proposition, and the novelty or intellectual property potential of their solution. Shortlisted candidates are required to present their proposals before the Project Oversight Committee (POC).
A key aspect of the initiative is its implementation-oriented approach. The program is not intended for pure academic research or software projects without intellectual property potential. Instead, it prioritizes startups with deployable technologies capable of creating measurable environmental and societal impact.
From a founder’s perspective, this opportunity is particularly valuable for clean-tech and climate-tech startups that already have technically validated solutions and now need grant-based support for pilot execution, market deployment, and commercial validation without immediate equity dilution.
