UNNATI AI 2.0-Startup Acceleration Programme (Unnati Se Pragati)

UNNATI AI 2.0 Startup Acceleration is designed for AI startups registered in India that have already validated a local pilot and are preparing to scale their solution to a larger market. The program is particularly relevant for founders who have moved beyond the idea stage and need grant funding, market validation, ecosystem access, and fundraising readiness support to accelerate growth.

Led by FITT, IIT Delhi and supported through Microsoft’s CSR initiative, Microsoft Elevate, the program focuses on helping promising AI ventures convert proven innovations into scalable businesses with measurable societal impact. Rather than concentrating solely on funding, the accelerator is structured around helping startups strengthen their market position, improve investor readiness, and gain access to strategic ecosystem support.

The Startup Acceleration track is positioned as a pathway for startups that have demonstrated initial validation and are now seeking broader adoption. Through the program, selected startups can receive an equity-free grant of up to ₹30 lakh, allowing them to pursue growth without dilution of founder ownership. The grant is non-repayable, making it particularly attractive for startups that want to accelerate expansion while preserving equity for future fundraising rounds.

Beyond financial support, UNNATI AI 2.0 provides access to the IIT Delhi and Microsoft ecosystem, creating opportunities for startups to engage with experts, mentors, industry stakeholders, and innovation networks. This ecosystem-driven approach is intended to help founders refine their business strategy, validate product-market fit, and strengthen their ability to scale effectively. The program also includes support for market validation and fundraising readiness, both of which are critical challenges for startups transitioning from pilot deployments to larger commercial opportunities.

Shortlisted startups may be invited to participate in presentations or interview rounds before final cohort selection.

Selected startups also gain access to high-impact Demo Days, providing an opportunity to showcase their solutions, engage with stakeholders, and increase visibility within the startup ecosystem. Such exposure can be valuable for startups seeking partnerships, customers, strategic collaborations, or future investment opportunities.

The program forms part of the broader Unnati AI initiative, where the previous edition attracted more than 600 applications and supported selected startups through acceleration and ecosystem engagement. The second cohort continues this objective by focusing on AI ventures that have demonstrated traction and are ready for structured support aimed at achieving larger-scale growth.
